Hello dear SongHi Artists!

Along with the hard-hitting Gas Lipstick competition, SongHi.com introduces a number of highly requested feature updates today!

With the Arrangement feature in the new Studio, it is now possible to make long, multi-part songs! Just below the instruments, you can now see song parts pane, where you can arrange your hit songs part-by-part! We suggest you try it out by making the first part just like you did before, and then copy and modify it to make the song longer and longer. You can add up to 8 parts, that’s 16 bars!

The Daily Battle plays two random songs of the day against each other, and the players can vote for the better one! This is a great way to listen to the most recent creations on SongHi.com, as well as promote your favourites to the top of the Battle Charts! Make sure you save your songs as ‘public’, and you’re on!

The algorithm for SongHi Stars has been tweaked to better reward active and loyal players to create more unique songs for people to enjoy. With this update, it’s now also possible to unlock more premium instruments for free just by making enough songs over a period of time!

Abeguy2’s song “RiRi – LaLa 3” rolls on like a freight train full of pop. Unstoppable, steady, and impeccably rhythmetized. I can see a movie with a beautiful woman being chased thru dark streets while this is playing in the background. And so, Sunday’s Pick of the Day!

Niina displays tremendous ability in creating melancholic but extremely catchy tracks of heartache. Impressive, very impressive. No surprise, this song is this Monday’s Pick of the Day.

An excellent example of Taikapaska’s skills, Unhealing Wounds is a forlorn but beautiful tale of hurt. Oh, I wish we could see the lyrics…
Tuesday’s Pick of the Day, no doubt!

Jayzstep makes a triumphant return after a long hiatus! And boy is his comeback impressive! The punchingly accurate “I’m Back!” demonstrates just how cool it sounds when you don’t pull any punches, but roll on with a massive torrent of beat and bass. Thursday’s Pick of the Day!

Sipinii’s beautiful melodies remind me of carefree days of summer, of green grass and cool breeze. The optimistic track spreads happiness, and thus deserves the Pick of the Day award. Congratulations

Lasse knows that less is more. With only a few instruments, his song R.Ihana conveys a neat beat with a very lively melody on top. Friday’s Pick of the Day, ladies and gents!

Thil displays real skillz with this track. It succeeds in everything: good use of vocal samples, nice backbone beat with two different instruments, and a catchy melody. Well done! Saturday’s Pick of the Day, of that there is no doubt.

Sunday’s Pick of the Day! Krapulapoika22’s display of musical prowess makes me hope that Mr. KP22 has mistyped the song’s title, for I sure do not hope this is his last Rihanna song.

Monday’s Pick of the Day! X-style shows how complex rhythms and relentless melodies are done. Booyah! One can just hope that the song’s title is nothing but a clever play of words…

During this December, we’re running twenty daily competitions under the main Rihanna competition’s flag. The key to it all is to make a song in the Rihanna campaign, and it counts not only for the main contest, but for the daily competitions as well!

Each day, the best song made during that day (selected by yours truly by varying merits and methods) gets the Pick of the Day award, which, in this case, is Rihanna’s “Rated R” CD.

A brief tutorial in what the Stars and Coins are, and why do you want to have both?

You can get more instruments by earning Stars from different activities, or purchasing SongHi Coins. These work as your in-game currency that you can spend in the SongHi Shop, and you can use them for both instruments, avatar clothing, background graphics and so on.

Stars are your friend. You can use them to unlock any They cost you nothing, which means that you can access basically everything SongHi.com has to offer without having to pay us a dime (except artist branded items that you can unlock with Coins only).
Gathering Stars takes a lot of time and effort, though, so be careful where you spend your hard earned Stars.

You can earn SongHi Stars by being an active member of SongHi.com. You gain Stars from registering to the game and giving us additional information about yourself (a sort of reward for proving that you are not a fake account), but also from recording new songs, Liking and Commenting other people’s songs, and participating and winning in a competition.

SongHi Coins, on the other hand, are your biggest helper. Coins function just like Stars do: you spend them to unlock items in the game. The Coins have some additional benefits, though, like unlocking any item you want, whenever you want, including all the exclusive artist brand instruments and avatar items. In short, SongHi Coins are the best short cut to true happiness — everything is immediately at your fingertips!

Unlike Stars, you can’t earn SongHi Coins. You have to purchase them with real money. This is how the magic happens:

Go to SongHi Shop by clicking the Shop button in the top navigation menu. Click the bright yellow Get SongHi Coins button (it’s on the left), and a popup window appears! This window displays all possible payment methods, amounts of Coins gained with money spent, and so on.

On the left, select first how many SongHi Coins you want. Just click the according button, and the sum is thus selected. Easypeasy!

Next, select the payment method you want to use from the right side of the window. We support payments from credit cards, PayPal, SMS, a phone call, and direct bank transfer (though this is limited to certain banks only).

Clicking the desired method will open a new popup window. What happens next depends on the payment method you selected. PayPal takes you to PayPal’s own site, selecting credit card will require you to fill out the form, SMS option asks which operator you want to use, and then asks you to give your phone number, and so on.

Note that the amount of money you have to pay to get the amount of Coins you selected varies on the method of payment you want to use. In other words, 2250 SongHi Coins costs ten euros with a credit card, but slightly more when paid with a SMS.

All purchases are handled by our service provider Super Rewards, who has done stuff like this from 2007. It’s the biggest virtual currency provider in Facebook, MySpace, and many others. So yes, it’s very reliable.
